Summary
Tina is an ordinary teenager until a shattering revelation drags her across the galaxy: she woke up on a starship and learned she carries the DNA of a legendary alien captain. Thrust from suburban life into a cramped, humming vessel, Tina must reconcile who she thought she was with who she has been engineered to become. Alone and terrified, she struggles with impostor guilt, strange new abilities, and the weight of a public myth that expects her to lead. Onboard, alliances form and fracture as Tina meets reluctant crewmates, rivals who test her courage, and veterans who refuse to treat her as anything more than a curiosity. Outside the ship, a vast interstellar threat lurks—an enemy that has toppled civilizations and now eyes humanity. Tina’s choices are immediate and personal: protect the friends who’ve come to trust her, fight to prove her own identity, and survive the brutal calculus of wartime command without losing the person she wants to be.
