Summary
A young priest named Horn returns to the waterborne world he once fled and embarks on a voyage that will reshape his identity. Driven by love, curiosity, and an older man's quest for lost connections, Horn signs aboard a caravan of living ships that carry men whose pasts are as secret as the sea's depths. The journey becomes a rite of passage, a weaving of memory and myth, as Horn confronts cultures and creatures whose names and manners test what he believes about truth and duty. At the heart of the voyage is the search for a woman and for a sense of belonging; threads of faith and longing tug Horn toward choices that preserve neither innocence nor easy answers. Encounters with strange rituals, cunning captains, and haunted landscapes force Horn to reckon with the cost of love and the shape of the world he's sworn to serve. Each harbor hides a mirror reflecting his slow, stubborn becoming.
