Summary

The ship shifts against the void, heartbeat of its engines thrumming through the deck as the crew braces for the next jump. On the observation deck, glass panels bloom with starlight; the galactic dust refracts into cities of glass and ice, and for a breath the ship seems to float between two suns. A figure moves along the corridor, fingers tracing the cold metal as memories surface—names whispered in a language older than their maps, a promise folded into a pocket of space where the edges blur and time loosens. They know the mission will demand a price not paid in credits but in trust; a choice that could fracture a crew, or bind them in the only way that matters when the void closes in on all sides.

The series marks Antoine Marvier’s foray into expansive, character-centered storytelling that fuses intimate stakes with planetary scale. This installment demonstrates his deft balance of personal tension and cosmic propulsion, earning cautious praise for its vivid world-building and measured pace.
